Donate, Donate, Donate!

I'm sure that you all know about Hurricane Katrina and the absolute mess it made down in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Ok, absolute mess is an understatement. It completely destroyed life as we know it for millions of people. My boss has family down there that he still has not heard from, and I personally have an old friend that lives down there. I've heard through the grapevine that he is ok, but considering 80% of New Orleans is underwater, I'm sure that the same cannot be said for his home and the place where he works. So, here's a website that you can all go to and donate money!

There are several charities that you can pick from...even some dedicated specifically to animals displaced by the hurricane (if that's your thing). I personally like to donate to the Red Cross, but that's my thing. Even if you think that the tiny donation you can afford to make won't matter, donate anyway. It's not like I can afford much, but every little bit helps!

Alcohol is Bad

Well, here I am, back at work after a long weekend. My husband and I took Friday off to attend my friend Tiffany's wedding. I was the "matron of honor," which I think makes me sound way older than I am. Everything was great - Bill and Tiffany looked so happy all weekend. I've known Tiffany since I was 5 years old, and I don't think I've ever seen her smile so much. When they danced to their song, they just stared into each other's eyes and sang to each other the whole time. I'm trying to remember if my husband and I ever had the type of relationship where we could just stare lovingly into each others eyes without going cross-eyed or making some other sort of face in order to get the other person to crack up. Oh well...to each his or her own.

Anyway, so I sort-of let my hair down and decided to partake in a large amount of beer and wine over the weekend. I haven't been able to get pregnant as of yet, so why not? I have to say - I looked totally hot. My hair was in a "messy sexy" updo (that's the way the lady who did my hair described it). I was wearing a bright red strapless dress and had smeared make-up all over my face like I was going to go try to make a sale. Hubby and I danced and carried on for hours...we thought it must be getting pretty late so we finally excused ourselves and went up to our room. Well, wouldn't you know it, it was only 9:30pm! We felt pretty lame, then. But we were exhausted (and I was borderline drunk) so we stayed in and went to bed. That was 2 days ago, and I still have a couple hangover symptoms. I guess I know now why we quit going out all the time. Or just quit going out period, really. It was a good time, though.

Well, back to work. I have to do a safety inspection of the shipping/receiving area today. No more fun...although my fingernails and toenails are still bright red. Not quite ready to let that go, yet!

Is It a Crime to be so Boring?

I got this picture in an email a long time ago. I believe the picture was an explanation of why our troops are going to win in Iraq. Works for me!

Anyway, just a short little note because I know I haven't posted for a while again. I am just so darn lazy is all. I was on the computer at home for hours the last 2 days, but just couldn't think of a single darn thing to post about. So, here's an update on my life:

Job: Better, than last time I posted, but still a job
Marriage: Doing good, doing good
Family: We had a great time during their visit. Just wish I could see them more often.
Friends: Don't have many, don't see the ones I have. Looking forward to Spiffy's wedding this coming weekend.
Baby: Still nothin'. This is our 6th month of trying. Am a pro at reading negative pregnancy tests.

Well, that's about it. Need to get back to work - blogging from one's work computer is naughty, naughty!
